How a commission works:
A commission begins with a client brief, which is made up of:
i) Any necessary requirements. For example size, budget, materials and so on
ii) Dynamics of the space where the art will be displayed. For example how and when the room is used, the colour scheme of the room etc.
iii) Any specific subject matter, mood and image you would like the art to portray.
The client brief can be made up of anything from magazine cuttings to a favourite memory. The elements of this brief, combined with a professional understanding of space, texture and colour, will be put together to produce your exclusive masterpiece.

 In this instance my client wanted a painting to take her back to the sunsets she experienced in Thailand. My client sent me examples of photos, pictures, described her memories, and suggested the mood and emotion she wanted the artwork to reflect. After sending her my ideas, in the form of colour schemes, mood boards and sketches the final design was decided upon.
